FOR INDIVIDUALS

Have you lost contact with a full range of feelings and experiential processes after a loss or a series of overwhelming experiences? Most of us want to be able to respond to the inevitable challenges of life and of relating in ways that provide us with access to joy, awe, love, serenity, inspiration and creativity.

Therapy is a safe, respectful and supportive place to identify new ways of approaching your experiences and to practice taking healthy risks toward a life consistent with your values.

I work from a depth, relational perspective to discover the broader context of your life and your culture. I’m interested in what formed your beliefs and expectations of yourself and your relationships and how these are affecting your life. I bring training and experience in a variety of additional theories and modalities to our work, including attachment, mindfulness, neuroscience, Internal Family Systems, neurodevelopment, Emotionally Focused therapy and sex and body positivity.

For over 25 years I have been practicing psychodynamic therapy with people of many identities and backgrounds: LGBTQIA, Heterosexual, polyamorous, kink, people from a variety of cultural and class contexts and making their way in the world through many different livelihoods. I am interested in social justice and opening the space for engaging and belonging in the complex human experience together.

My areas of focus are:

  • Survivors of trauma
  • Gender identity and expression
  • Sexual/affectional identity and expression
  • Neurodivergences
  • Depression and Bi-polar disorder
  • 12-Step recovery work
  • Life transitions
  • Chronic pain
  • Women in peri-menopause and after
